Position Title: Consulting Director, HEOR
Reports to: Company VP
Salary Range: 140-180K plus 20% bonus potential
Location: 100% remote based
We’re looking for an HEOR Consulting Director to lead high-impact client engagements that shape market access, payer policy, and patient access for cutting-edge diagnostics. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the complex molecular diagnostics and precision medicine sector, with a focus on payer requirements for coverage, payer coverage processes/timelines, payer reimbursement considerations, and existing payer policy.
As Consulting Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the Precision Medicine consulting practice. You’ll partner with top innovators in diagnostics and therapeutics to influence payer and policy decisions and drive solutions that expand patient access to life-changing technologies. In this role, you’ll have a seat at the table with some of the most influential innovators in precision medicine, driving HEOR strategies that expand access to cutting-edge diagnostics and therapies.
Join a collaborative team of consultants and advisors, all of whom are veterans of top healthcare and life sciences organizations, the federal government, state government, top consultants, nonprofits, commercial payers, and data and analytics companies.
- Lead strategic consulting projects on coverage, coding, and reimbursement
- Advise executives on payer requirements and policy changes (VALID, SALSA, biomarker bills)
- Mentor and develop a talented consulting team
- Present insights to senior stakeholders and drive measurable results
- Lead strategic consulting projects on coverage, coding, and reimbursement, including evidence generation and health economic modeling.
- Advise executives on payer requirements, policy changes and legislative updates (e.g., VALID, SALSA, biomarker-related bills).
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MPH) in health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, pharmacy, or related life sciences.
- Master’s degree (MS, MHS, MPH) may be acceptable with substantial relevant experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Policy, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in U.S. reimbursement strategy (public and private payers) in the diagnostics industry.
- Experience with cost-effectiveness analysis, cost-utility analysis, budget impact modeling.
- Genetic Counseling background a plus.
- Expertise in outcomes research, market access and reimbursement, and/or Regulatory & HTA frameworks (FDA, EMA, NICE, CADTH, ICER, etc.)
