As a Manager on the Precision Medicine Market Access team, you will lead engagements spanning genomic and proteomic diagnostics, companion diagnostics (CDx), targeted therapies, cell and gene therapies, and digital pathology/AI tools. You’ll guide clients through launch and market planning, coverage/coding/payment strategy (commercial and public), value and evidence generation, distribution/pricing considerations, and stakeholder engagement across commercial and public payers (Medicare/MA/Medicaid), PBMs, health systems, and other organized customers. The manager will serve as the engagement leader on projects managing project timelines, project logistics, timeline management, content creation, and delivery of customer-facing content that advance patient access and reimbursement for precision medicine innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements focused on precision medicine (e.g., NGS assays, liquid biopsy, CDx, rare disease tests/therapies, CGT), from scoping through successful delivery.
  • Develop coverage and reimbursement strategies including coding pathways (CPT/PLA, Z-codes), LCD/NCD/MolDx considerations, payer medical policy landscape assessments, and gap analyses.
  • Advise on pricing and distribution models for diagnostics and precision therapies; assess site-of-care, benefit category, and buy-and-bill vs. alternative pathways.
  • Translate analytics into action by building dashboards, decision tools, and frameworks that inform market access, evidence, and commercial strategies.
  • Execute primary/secondary research (payer/provider/KOL interviews; policy and claims literature reviews) and synthesize insights into clear recommendations.
  • Partner with SAVEs to align value frameworks, HEOR, and RWE plans that support coverage, coding, and payment milestones.
  • Create client-ready materials (slides, memos, briefings) and facilitate working sessions, advisory boards, and payer engagements.
  • Mentor and manage Associates/Senior Associates; provide quality reviews, feedback, and project coaching.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Federal & State Policy and other ADVI Solutions to anticipate policy shifts (e.g., diagnostics regulation, CGT payment models) and translate them into client strategy.
  • Leverage technology and innovative methods to improve efficiency, insight generation, and reproducibility across engagements.

Experience

  • 5+ years in market access/strategy within precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, genomics/CDx, or biopharma consulting (manager/lead role preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of payer policy dynamics for diagnostics and precision therapies (commercial & public), including coding (CPT/PLA), coverage pathways (LCD/NCD/MolDx), and payment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with evidence requirements (clinical utility, RWE, HEOR) and stakeholder landscapes (payers, HTA groups, health systems, labs, manufacturers).
  • Bonus: exposure to diagnostics regulation (e.g., CDx, LDT trends), CGT payment models, and site-of-care economics.
